Principal's Message

Dear Sheridan Way Families and Community,

I am genuinely excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Sheridan Way Elementary School. Joining this vibrant community is both an honor and a joy, and I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff. Our school is more than a place of learning, it is a community where children grow, explore, and feel safe to be themselves, and I am truly thrilled to be part of that journey with your families. Supporting a multilingual educational environment will keep our students curious, empowered, and belonged in our school community. 

A little about me: I have been in education since 1998, serving in roles that have included Principal, Assistant Principal, Special Education Coordinator, School Psychologist, and Classroom Assistant. Over the years, I have learned that the most meaningful learning happens when students feel supported, inspired, and connected. Relationships are at the heart of my work, guiding my commitment to foster an environment where every child’s curiosity is nurtured, their strengths celebrated, and their challenges met with care and guidance.

At Sheridan Way, I am eager to build on the amazing foundation already in place. Together, we will create a school where:

• Teachers, staff, and families work as partners to support academic growth, social-emotional well-being, and curiosity, motivating a love for learning.

• Our school community celebrates diversity, embraces kindness, and fosters a sense of belonging for everyone.

 

I look forward to connecting with families beyond the classroom—whether at the school gate, during classroom activities, at school events, or seasonal celebrations. Your ideas, questions, and stories are vital to making our school a thriving community, and I welcome your involvement. My door is always open, so please feel free to meet me at events, coffee with the principal, assemblies, or for a one-on-one in the office. Together, we can provide an extraordinary educational journey for your children at Sheridan Way.

I am eager to roll up my sleeves, learn from you, and celebrate all of the wonderful achievements (big and small), that await our students this year. Here’s to a year filled with curiosity, laughter, and growth!
